When I first saw that robot I thought it was Johnny Depp so much that I turned around 180 degrees in the boat to watch it pass and wave at it. Johnny’s reaction is great as well. The robot technology is amazing!
I have been on that ride so many times! I remember a bridge we go under with a pirate sitting on it with one leg hanging from it! His leg had hair on it! Looked so real!
“Pirates of the Caribbean was envisioned in the late 1950s as a walk-through wax museum at Disneyland that would have featured depictions of real pirates in static scenes. Instead, Disney Imagineers utilized the technological breakthroughs achieved in the company’s four pavilions at the 196465 World’s Fair to transform the attraction into a boat ride through vivid environments filled with fictional Audio-Animatronic pirates sacking a Caribbean seaport.” So yes it was.
Okay this cool and all for the young, but i’ve been on the original and it was… Better It was an actual pirate ride. Pirate hangings, chasing whores, and the other crap pirates did. This doesn’t have that.
