Puerto Vallarta recommendations?

Hello,

My Best friend (a 22 year old male) and I (21 year old female) want to go to PV in November. We would like to know everything you can possibly tell us. I would like to know where to go for clean beach water (white sand, blue water thats not dirty! lol). we would like to know if there are any specific hotels that any one would recommend. we would like to know if there are recommended restaurants. ANYTHING and EVERYTHING we should know!! : )…especially the water thing…that's our main concern, we really want to be able to swim in the beach and our heart is set on puerto vallarta : )
