Where in Texas can I find clear blue water and white sand?

The closest thing you'll get is South Padre. But the water is green, not really blue. And it's clearer than other gulf coast locations, but still not Carribbean clear. It doesn't have white sand either. Sand on beaches depends on geography. Texas just doesn't have any, unless it's imported from somewhere else. New Braunfels rivers do have clearer water than some other Texas rivers, but they're rather full of sunscreen and urine because they're so full of tubing people in the summer. So, if you want to call that clean... Regardless of the water, there is no sand except for in a few teeny tiny spots along the banks. Other people have mentioned Schlitterbahn. That may be your best bet. It's an artificial beach, and therefore imported and cleaned sand. The water (in some attractions) is chlorinated, so that'll be clear. But, it's a fake beach. Those are your choices. Make the best of any of them and you'll have a good time.
